Project Article – CityMag; "Cry Baby opens on Solomon Street"

The roller door on the corner property of Solomon and Rosina Streets is up, and Sunny’s late-night neighbours have finally moved in.

Cry Baby is located at 11 Solomon Street and opens officially at 7pm on Saturday, 30 June.

Opening hours are 4pm until 2am seven days a week.

Once little more than a cluttered car park, the space is now officially christened Cry Baby – the “bar bar” owner Jon Di Pinto promised us back in early March.

While the hotdog cart is still a month or so away (“I wasn’t going to let that stop me opening,” Jon says), the pool table, jukebox, and fully-loaded back bar are all ready for revellers looking for a dark corner in the city to call their own.

Courtesy of the Studio AKA team, the space is vast; lush green booths line the eastern corner of the venue, lit by the Cry Baby neon calling card, with high tables stretching between the two immovable beams in the centre of the room.
